About the Inn and Your Hosts

About the Property

Originally built in 1897, the Meredith Inn showcases Victorian eclecticism at its finest. Known as the Hawkins/Deneault House, this architectural gem features a distinctive square tower, unique shingle patterns, and historical elements like a granite hitching post. Extensive renovations have preserved its ornate character, providing guests with a glimpse into the past while enjoying modern comforts.

About Your Hosts

After 12 years living in Nick’s home country of New Zealand, we relocated our family back to Meredith. Amy has fond memories of picking blueberries on islands in Lake Winnipesaukee as a child and skiing in the nearby White Mountains. The region's hiking trails and lakes appeal to Nick, who loves running and kayaking. It felt like the perfect place for us to settle with Amy's family nearby and our two children attending colleges just a few hours away. Owning the Inn fulfills our lifelong dream of owning a bed and breakfast.
